Grants

Your home page for all municipal grants

The municipality of Leudal supports many different initiatives that benefit the 16 cores. The municipality does this in part by providing subsidies.

Grants in Leudal

As a resident, association, foundation, organization or entrepreneur, you may be eligible for a subsidy. On this web page you will find more information about subsidies and the various subsidy schemes of the municipality of Leudal. Where a subsidy scheme is part of a policy document, you can also view the relevant policy document.

The municipality assesses your grant application on the basis of the General Grant Regulation and the Requirements stated in the grant regulations. The General Subsidy Ordinance Municipality of Leudal 2016 hangs as an umbrella over all subsidy schemes and is valid at all times.

By clicking on the application button below you can submit a grant application. By answering a few questions, you will be automatically directed to the grant you need. In most cases, you will be asked to upload one or more documents. Which documents these are, you can read in advance in the relevant subsidy scheme.

Frequently Asked Questions

An overview of frequently asked questions and important information about your grant application.

What is a grant?

A grant is a temporary contribution provided by the municipality to stimulate an applicant's activity. Without this contribution, the activity would not get off the ground. With subsidies, the municipality of Leudal can realize its policy goals. Society is involved in this and with subsidies is stimulated to contribute to these goals.

There are two forms of subsidy:

  • Incidental subsidy: a contribution for activities of a one-time or temporary nature. For example, organizing a cultural or sports event.
  • Structural grant: a contribution for activities that run throughout the year. For example, associations that organize a wide range of activities for members throughout the year.

What do I need to apply for a grant?

Grants can be applied for online. To apply, you will need DigiD. In time, we request associations, foundations, organizations and entrepreneurs to apply for a subsidy with eHerkenning. At this time, this is not yet mandatory.

On the page of the relevant grant program, you will find more information about the documents you need to send along.

When should I submit my grant application?

Different application deadlines apply to incidental and structural grants.

  • You must submit an application for an occasional grant at least 6 weeks before the activity begins. You will be notified of your grant application within 6 weeks. You can apply for these grants throughout the year as long as there is budget for them.
  • You apply for a structural grant before May 1 of the year preceding the year of activity. For example: you want to apply for a subsidy for activities that will take place next year. You must apply for a subsidy before May 1 of this year. You will hear from us no later than December 31 of this year whether you will receive the subsidy.

What happens after my application?

If the municipality decides positively on your grant application, you will receive a grant decision. In this you will be provisionally promised the subsidy. The grant decision will state the grant amount and the grant conditions. You now know the maximum subsidy you will receive and what you have to do to obtain it.

Some grants you have to justify. You can read whether this is the case in your situation in the grant decision. To account for this, you must submit a so-called application for determination (justification). How you must account for the subsidy is stated in the grant decision. Often you will be asked for an overview of the activities that have taken place and an overview of the expenses and revenues. On the basis of this information, the subsidy will be definitively determined, which we call the subsidy determination. You will receive written confirmation of this.
When activities are not or only partially carried out, the subsidy can be reclaimed. We will make arrangements with you about this.

Accounting for your grant is not yet possible through this web page. If accountability is requested in your grant decision, submit it digitally at info@leudal.nl.

What if you disagree with the decision?

If you do not agree with the grant awarded or the rejection of your application you may file an objection. You should do this within six weeks of the date of the grant award letter. This letter describes the procedure and to whom you can send the objection.

Can I apply for grants elsewhere?

In addition to a municipal grant, there are often opportunities to apply for a grant from another government, such as the province or the state. Or from a (social) institution or fund.
