Social Support Grant Scheme

Associations and foundations that contribute to the Wmo goals are supported through this grant scheme. Subsidy is granted for activities for people with disabilities and activities in the following areas: independent living, self-help, informal care, mutual aid, as well as prevention in the context of living healthy and independently for as long as possible. Activities covered by this scheme promote the independence and self-reliance of this target group, as well as active participation in society.

The grant scheme covers a number of components: 

  1. Living Room Projects
  2. Eating Points
  3. Senior citizen associations
  4. Sunflower wards 
  5. Informal day care providers
  6. Residential Intermediate Facilities
  7. Volunteer Center
  8. Innovative activities social domain 

Please read the subsidy regulations carefully before starting your application. In the subsidy regulations, among other things, you can view the subsidy conditions for each component.

For whom is this scheme intended? 

The scheme is intended for associations and foundations that are based in the municipality of Leudal or, according to the articles of association, are (partly) aimed at residents of Leudal.

When can you submit an application?

For components 1 through 7, submit a grant application by May 1 of the year preceding the grant year. For component 8, an application should be submitted no later than 6 weeks prior to the start of the activity.

What activities can you apply for a grant for? 

Different grants are available for each component. 

  1. Living room projects can apply for a grant for housing costs and a grant per project participant.
  2. Eateries can apply for a grant for housing costs and a grant per project participant.
  3. Senior citizen associations can apply for a grant based on the number of members.
  4. Sunflower associations can apply for a flat-rate grant.
  5. Informal day care providers may apply for a grant to cover the operating deficit.
  6. Residential intermediate facilities may apply for a grant to cover the operating deficit.
  7. A volunteer support center may apply for a grant to cover its operating deficit.
  8. Organizers of innovation activities in the social domain can apply for a one-time grant based on the operating deficit.

What documents do I need to apply for a grant?

Different documents are requested for each section. 

  • Provider of informal day care, residential intermediate facility, innovative activity and volunteer support center
    • Budget: summary of income and expenses of the department during the grant year.
    • Activity plan: description of activities taking place during the grant year.
  • Living room project and eating point
    • Member list: summary of the number of participants, indicating place of residence and age of the participant. The cut-off date for the number of participants is January 1 of the year preceding the year for which grant is requested (for a 2023 grant, list participants as of January 1, 2022).
    • The expected housing costs during the grant year
  • Senior citizens association and sunflower department
    • Membership list: summary of the number of members of the association, indicating residence and age of members. The reference date for the number of members is January 1 of the year preceding the year for which the grant is requested (for a 2023 grant, list the participants as of January 1, 2022).
