What is DigiD?
DigiD stands for Digital Identity; it is a common system by which the government can verify your identity on the Internet. Upon request, you will receive a DigiD login code for this purpose. You can use one login code to access electronic services from an increasing number of government agencies.
Ways of logging in DigiD
DigiD app
The DigiD app is the easiest way to log in securely. You no longer have to remember a password. In fact, you use a pin code that you may choose yourself.
SMS check
Log in securely with 2 steps via a text message code, with or without a cell phone. This way, others cannot access your data even if they know your password.
User name and password
You will create a username and password immediately when you apply for DigiD. Remember your username and password well. With these you can log in.
Id.
Logging in with your ID via the DigiD app gives future access to personal data that is extra sensitive. These data are thus extra well protected.
