Recreation and Tourism grant program
The municipality wants to increase the quality of the recreational and tourism offerings and aims for economic growth within this sector. To achieve this, a subsidy scheme has been drawn up to support (innovative) initiatives that explicitly contribute to the development of supra-local recreational and tourism goals from the municipal policy plan Recreation and Tourism "Inviting Landscape".
For whom is this scheme intended?
The scheme is for organizations with a Chamber of Commerce registration.
When can you submit an application?
An application must be submitted no later than 12 weeks prior to the start of the project. Grants can be applied for in two periods: January through June and July through December.
What activities can you apply for a grant for?
Subsidy can be applied for activities that are in line with one of the following action lines from the Recreation and Tourism Municipality of Leudal policy plan:
- Midway through Limburg: routes, heritage and stopping places;
- Big Five, on safari through Limburg's natural gems;
- Water, Fun and Shopping;
- Food Garden of Central Limburg;
- Stimulate tourist stay;
- Marketing and hospitality for Leudal;
and make a substantial contribution to:
- the quality, diversity, experience and distinctiveness of the tourist-recreational profile of the municipality of Leudal; or
- the revenue model of several R&T enterprises in the municipality of Leudal.

In 2020, the Municipality of Leudal drafted a Recreation and Tourism Policy and on January 1, 2022, the corresponding subsidy scheme came into effect.
