Funding is still available for quality-of-life projects in your neighborhood or village

The Province of Limburg offers grants for projects that contribute to the quality of life in your neighborhood or village. There is one program for small-scale (resident) initiatives and another for initiatives by associations, foundations, and cooperatives.

These grant programs have been extended through the end of 2027. Projects such as creating a playground, a vegetable garden, or building a community kitchen are eligible, as are cooking workshops held in the community kitchen.

Do you have a great initiative that contributes to the quality of life in your neighborhood? If so, be sure to take advantage of these programs before December 21, 2027.

The grant schemes

Small-scale (resident) initiatives

This program enables (some) residents to take ownership of the quality of life in their street or neighborhood. After all, one of the guiding principles of the Quality of Life Approach is that residents themselves know best what their neighborhood needs. Examples include planting flowers, organizing a neighborhood barbecue, and installing sports and play equipment, with grant amounts ranging from €2,500 to €5,000.

Initiatives associations, foundations and corporations

Quality of life is impossible without social interaction. Villages often have multiple associations, foundations, and cooperatives that play a vital role in organizing, preserving, and strengthening the social fabric. They are based in community facilities and gathering places. Examples include initiatives such as a community garden, setting up a repair café, or cooking workshops to bring people in the neighborhood together.
The grant amount ranges from €5,000 to €120,000.
