Sports and exercise agreement Leudal - OLD

In 2020, the Leudal Sports and Exercise Agreement was signed, with which Leudal joined hands to strengthen sports with the aim of enabling as many people as possible to enjoy sports and exercise. As many as 62 organizations, called supporters, signed this agreement at the time. It is an agreement formed for and by local sports associations, sports providers and social organizations. Here everyone had the opportunity to provide input on the three themes, namely: participating together, healthy active and vital associations. As supporters, we believe that everyone in Leudal can participate, that everyone grows up healthy and active and that associations are important for meetings and contribute to the livability of the villages.

The Sports and Movement Agreement Leudal II focuses - in addition to the themes mentioned above, and in line with the National Sports Agreement II - on three main ambitions. The first ambition is about "the foundation in order. This is about strong sports providers and a socially safe sport for all. The second ambition is about 'increasing the reach of sport', so that more people feel attracted and invited to sport or exercise. Finally, the third ambition is about increasing the social value of sport: 'more (visible) meaning to sport'.

Joining together

In Leudal, everyone participates. Sports, exercise and culture provide meeting and activation.

Sport and exercise bring people together and allow everyone to participate. It contributes to vitality and has a positive effect on the quality of life in villages. Special attention should be given to target groups who do not exercise enough or who cannot participate as a matter of course, such as young people, seniors, people with disabilities and families living in poverty. Then we can ensure that people can continue to live at home for as long as possible with facilities close to home.

Healthy Active

In Leudal, everyone grows up healthy and active and sports, exercise and culture contribute to the good and positive healthy life.

The foundation for a healthy and active life must be laid with children. After all, learned young is done old. Together with local partners invest in a healthy environment of the child where the healthy choice is self-evident; at school but also outside at the sports club or in the green environment.

Vital Societies

In Leudal, associations are important for meeting and contribute positively to the livability of the villages.

But associations are under pressure. People are uniting less naturally. Associations face many challenges, which also present opportunities. To better meet the needs of residents, sports associations need to strengthen each other and work together more. Together we connect by making sports and exercise possible for everyone.

Fundamentals in place

We are working together to build a solid foundation. The Requirements to be able to play sports and enjoy them must be improved. This is about the people, organizations, culture and material facilities in sports. We are committed to quality sports providers that are accessible and safe for all Leudal residents.

Expanding the reach

We are working to increase outreach. More Leudal residents feel attracted and invited to play sports and experience sports, by lowering barriers, stimulating people and sharing success stories.

More (visible) meaning

We are working on more meaning of sport, this is about the value of sport for Leudal: energy, fun and meaning in daily life, but also the contribution to combating loneliness, opportunity inequality, or just promoting health of Leudal residents.
