Collecting travel documents or driver's license

Have you applied for a passport, identity card, or driver's license with us? We will ensure that your document is prepared. On this page, we have listed a number of important things for you to know about picking up your document.

When will it be ready?

Your travel document or driver's license will be ready at the town hall six working days after your application. Please collect your document no later than three months after your application. After that, you will no longer be able to collect the document and will have to reapply.

Do I need to Make an appointment?

You do not need to make an appointment to collect your passport, identity card, or driver's license. Once the six working days have passed, you can drop by during the town hall's opening hours.

Who is authorized to pick it up?

You must always collect your passport, identity card, or driver's license yourself. This also applies to children.

What should I bring?

Please submit your current document (i.e., the document that needs to be replaced).

Where should I report at the town hall?

  • Please check in at the kiosk (the screen at the entrance). You will receive a ticket with a number.
  • Please take a seat in the waiting area next to the entrance.
  • We will call you via the call screen. You will then see the number of your receipt on the screen.
  • If you have been summoned, we will assist you at the reception desk.
    • This is a different counter than the one where you previously requested your document (the reception desk is opposite the request counters).
