MAP: Labor & Participation Module.

The MAP is a compulsory part of the civic integration program for persons integrating. The goal is to have participants actively participate in society and prepare them for (volunteer) work or other forms of participation. The client director deploys the MAP for persons integrating. The MAP offers a structured daytime program that works on social skills, language skills, self-confidence and work orientation. The route counsellor and the candidate set goals together. The client director monitors the commitment, coordinates with chain partners, monitors progress and provides reporting to the Education Executive Agency (DUO).

Content

We start with a joint intake. The MAP consists of:

  • Orientation to occupations
  • Developing work attitudes and skills
  • Creating a realistic picture of the labor market
  • Networking and taking advantage of opportunities
  • Practical experience (at least 40 hours, preferably on the job site itself)

The MOB pathway supervisor and client director assess whether the participant has gained sufficient knowledge and
skills. When the MAP is completed, tailoring takes place toward
appropriate outflow.
