The informal care compliment: the municipality offers support to informal caregivers in various ways. The municipality does this because informal caregivers occupy a very special place in society because of their Health to a loved one. One of the ways in which the municipality appreciates its informal caregivers is by making an amount of €50 available. This sum of money is called the informal care compliment.

Who can apply for the informal care compliment?

The Mantelzorgcompliment can be requested by or on behalf of someone receiving Health . The person receiving Health must live in the municipality of Leudal. Note: only one compliment can be requested by or on behalf of a care recipient.

How do you know if you are a caregiver?

We define informal care as all the help given to a person in need of help by someone in their immediate environment. This includes intensive and less intensive, short-term and long-term help to housemates and to relatives, neighbors or friends living away from home, to people living independently and to residents of care institutions.

How can you apply for the informal care compliment?

You can register a caregiver from September 1 to October 1. Application is possible again from September 1, 2026.

What is the difference between the informal care compliment and the informal care gift?

The Mantelzorgcompliment is a gesture of appreciation from the municipality of Leudal in the form of an amount of € 50,-. You can apply for the volunteer aid complement via this website. This can be done by, or on behalf of, the applicant in the period from September 1 to October 1.

The Mantelzorgattentie is a token of appreciation in the form of a gift that anyone can request for a Mantelzorger. This gift is part of the Day of Caring and will be delivered to the caretaker's home with a personal message around November 10. From September 1 to October 1, the informal care gift can be requested online through this website.

Can appreciation be requested for more than one person?

The Mantelzorgcompliment in the form of the monetary amount of €50.00 may be requested per caregiver.

The informal care gift may be requested for all informal caregivers caring for their loved one whose caregiver lives in the municipality of Leudal.

When will the appreciation be awarded?

The informal care compliment is paid no later than the month of December.

The informal care gift is delivered to the informal caregiver's home by the post office around the day of informal care.
