Unlike other refugees, Ukrainian refugees are allowed to stay legally in the Netherlands without a visa. Therefore, most Ukrainians do not need to apply for asylum. Nevertheless, they do need shelter and facilities. For this reason, organizing the reception of Ukrainians is different in many ways than for other refugees. It is not yet clear exactly what rights and obligations Ukrainian refugees will soon have.
