The Youth Council is a platform for and by young people. They actively look after the interests of young people within the municipality of Leudal. They do this by giving advice and information to the city council, council committees and the college of mayor and aldermen.

Youth Council Application

Are you between 13 and 18 years old and involved in the municipality of Leudal? 

Then apply now for the youth council of the municipality of Leudal! All young people aged 13 to 18 are welcome to become a youth council member for the duration of 1 year. As a member of the youth council you represent the young people of Leudal. During the meetings of the youth council you can express your opinion on all topics that are important to young people. This way you can make Leudal a bit more beautiful!

What are you talking about? 

The youth council consists of up to 18 young people. The youth council advises the board of the municipality of Leudal on all topics that are important to young people.
What topics should you think of? Everything you see, read and hear every day! For example, one meeting could be about sports and obesity and the next meeting about loneliness and poverty.
"Wow, all heavy topics," we hear you thinking. That's a bit true, but the Youth Council is also fun and educational! 

Who are we looking for

  • You are between 13 and 18 years old and live in the municipality of Leudal
  • You would like to represent young people in Leudal
  • You would like to contribute to the development of municipal policies
  • You can express and motivate your own opinions well
  • You enjoy speaking in front of an audience 

Practical

  • The Youth Council meets 5 to 6 times a year at the town hall in Heythuysen. Participation in the youth council is fun and educational.
  • You get to know new people
  • It looks good on your resume
  • You get to think about the future of Leudal youth!

Meetings

The Youth Council meets once every 10 weeks from 19.00 - 20.30 in the town hall, Leudalplein 1 Heythuysen. All youth council meetings are open to the public. So feel free to come and watch!
