Report a change of address

What is it?

When should you report a move?

When you move within or to the municipality of Leudal, you are required to inform the municipality of Leudal of this change of address. When you register in the municipality of Leudal, you will automatically be deregistered from your previous municipality. Health ensure that you pass on the change of address no later than 4 weeks before or no later than 5 days after your move.

When you move to another municipality, you must register with your new home municipality.

Are you coming from abroad? Then you must report in person for registration. Make an appointment for this by calling: (0475) 85 90 00. More information about moving to the Netherlands.

Are you late in reporting?

If so, this may have consequences for, for example, rent allowance, study financing, municipal taxes or benefits. You are punishable if you fail to file a removal declaration or file an incorrect one.

How does it work?

You must complete a separate relocation form if:

  • you are moving with several people and you are unmarried or not registered with the civil registry as a registered partner
  • if family members move to a different address or come from a different address than yourself

You may report the move for someone else if that person has authorized you in writing.

What to do.

Report your move digitally to the Municipality of Leudal. Do this no later than 5 days after you have moved.

Do you want to pass it on earlier? This can be done up to 4 weeks before the date of relocation.

On the moving form, you can indicate whether you are moving alone or with more than one person. Parents, guardians or caregivers file a declaration of removal for their minor children under 16 years of age.

Date of relocation

Do you file the declaration later than 5 days after moving? Then the date the municipality receives the declaration is the date of relocation. Did you report a move in the future? Then the municipality will adjust the address details on the date you pass on. This is then the date of change of address.

The municipality notifies all government agencies of your move. These include the Tax Office, DUO, the Social Insurance Bank and pension funds.

If you do not have a residential address, you can register at a letter address. Read more information about letter address. Please note that a letter address is different from a postal address.
