Proxy voting

Do you want someone else to vote for you? Then grant someone a proxy.
What is proxy voting?
If you are unable to come to the polling place yourself or prefer not to make the trip to the polling place, there are other options for you to still cast your vote. One of these options is to authorize someone else. This proxy can then fill out a ballot paper on your behalf. A proxy may accept a maximum of 2 proxies.
How can you give someone a private or written power of attorney?
Private power of attorney
Wait until you have received your voting pass. Together with the person who is authorized to vote on your behalf, fill in the back of the voting pass and both sign it. In the case of a private proxy, you must provide a copy of your ID (which may be expired for up to 5 years) to the person who will vote on your behalf. You can only grant a private proxy to a person who votes in the same municipality.
You can revoke a private power of attorney by requesting the return of the voting pass and casting your vote yourself.
Written power of attorney
It is no longer possible to request a written power of attorney (either in person or online).
Voting pass and proxy
When someone casts a proxy vote it should always be done at the same time as casting their own vote.
