Requesting personal data
What is it?
The municipality maintains personal data on all residents in the Basic Registration of Persons (BRP). The municipality needs this data when you get married, for example, or when your passport expires. If necessary, the municipality may also share your data with other government agencies, such as the tax authorities, the judiciary or the police. Or with organizations such as pension funds and housing associations. See which organizations can get your personal data on the website of the Rijksoverheid.
You can find out what information about you and your minor children is in the BRP by logging in to MijnOverheid.
What to do
- Via MijnOverheid , you can view your own data or that of your minor children:
- Log in with your DigiD.
- Then click on "Personal Information" at the top of the page. Under the BRP heading, you can view your information.
Your personal data with government organizations
Government organizations use personal data from the BRP perform their statutory duties. The responsible minister assesses whether the provision of data complies with the law and determines which organizations may consult personal data.
In addition, under certain Requirements , some authorities may obtain Requirements data from the municipality, for example institutions with an important social interest. These institutions can be found in Appendix 2 of the 2014 Leudal Personal Data Provision Regulations.
Do you not want certain organizations to receive your personal data? If so, you can request the municipality tokeep your personal data confidential.
If you would like to know what information the municipality has provided about you recently, you can request an overview from the municipality where you live.

You can easily request the overview online. To do this, you will need DigiD.
Requesting overview of benefits in kind
If you wish to request the overview in writing, please send a request to the Municipality of Leudal. Please indicate for which period you would like to inspect the data provision and enclose a copy of your valid ID.

How long does it take?
It takes up to 4 weeks for you to receive the summary. The municipality not only consults its own systems, but also informs which national authorities have accessed your data. This may take some time.
