Entrepreneurs in Ittervoort: A Look Behind the Scenes
On Friday, October 16, we visited four companies in the Ittervoort industrial park together with Alderman Michel Graef:
Verschueren Orgelbouw, Hugo Leeters Schilderwerken, Tinnemans Keukens, and Lima Intern Transport. It’s always nice to get a glimpse into the world of entrepreneurs, hear their stories, and see what goes on behind the scenes at their companies.
At Verschueren Orgelbouw, we spoke with Hans Cox and Johan Zoutendijks about building and restoring organs. It is a unique craft that requires a great deal of knowledge and experience.
Hugo and Yvonne welcomed us at Hugo Leeters Schilderwerken. We talked about how their business got started and their plans for the future.
At Tinnemans Keukens, Patricia Claesen told us about custom kitchens and the importance of providing personalized attention to customers.
At Lima Intern Transport, we spoke with Roel Coumans and Thomas Kuijpers about running a company after an acquisition. We discussed the challenges involved and the opportunities in the world of forklifts, telehandlers, and aerial work platforms.
Four businesses, four different stories. Each with its own challenges and plans for the future. That’s exactly why these visits are so valuable. We love to hear what’s on entrepreneurs’ minds, what obstacles they face, and what opportunities they see. By getting to know one another, staying in close contact, and keeping the dialogue going, we work together to build a strong Leudal.
Our collaboration with the BIZ Ittervoort also plays an important role in this. Together with the BIZ board and local businesses, we are working on implementing the action plan for 2025–2029. In the coming years, our priorities will include creating a safe and attractive business park, increasing green spaces, ensuring energy security, and improving accessibility. The goal is to create a place where businesses can thrive and where employees also enjoy coming to work.
