Recently, some entities have been offering maps that are presented as “municipal maps.” Although they may appear to be so, these are not official publications issued by the municipality.
These commercial publications are distributed through various channels and contain advertisements from businesses. Their design and title may give the impression that they are municipal publications, but they are not official publications and are not produced in collaboration with the municipality.
We believe it is important to make this distinction clear. Official municipal communications and publications are always distributed through the municipality’s own channels.
