Have you already signed up for the planting scheme in Leudal?

More than 46 farmyards in the municipality of Leudal have now been greened thanks to participation in the Planting Scheme. The planting scheme that Leudal has been running since 2022 contributes to greening the rural environment and increasing biodiversity. In addition, extra trees are planted with this Planting Scheme. The ambition of the municipality of Leudal is to plant 1 extra tree for every inhabitant before 2027.

Residents and entrepreneurs in the municipality of Leudal often want to make their yard or property more sustainable. Planting trees and shrubs contributes to the greening of the living environment and promotes biodiversity. Living and working in a green environment is pleasant and good for your health. Many different types of animals and plants also make use of a green environment. Examples include shelter, nesting opportunities and food for bees and butterflies. Also, planting trees and shrubs contributes to climate adaptation. In recent years we have seen an increasing variety of weather conditions. One year it is extremely wet, the next a new heat record every month. In order to support residents and entrepreneurs in greening their yard or property, the municipality of Leudal established the Planting Scheme in 2022. The Aanplantregeling is a great incentive to go green and therefore this scheme will be continued in 2025 and 2026.

Says Alderman Jan den Teuling.

Planting scheme

Residents and business owners in the outlying area can use this Planting Scheme to plant greenery on their property (yard or grounds). After application, a check is first made to see if the Requirements are met. Then an intake interview takes place and a landscape expert makes a design in consultation with the applicant and draws up a planting list.
