Planting scheme municipality of Leudal 2025-2026
The municipality of Leudal has established a planting scheme that contributes to greening the rural environment and increasing biodiversity. In addition, this planting scheme also plants extra trees. After all, the municipality of Leudal has the ambition to plant 1 extra tree for every resident in the coming years.
Planting scheme
Residents and business owners in the outlying area can use this Planting Scheme to plant greenery on their property (yard or grounds). After application, a check is first made to see if the Requirements are met. Then an intake interview takes place and a landscape expert makes a design in consultation with the applicant and draws up a planting list.
Requirements
The planting must be realized outside the built-up area and only trees and shrubs that are native to the region are planted. Furthermore, only property planting and/or landscape woody stands (e.g. a cane, standard trees, thicket hedge or row of trees) can be planted. The landscaping and planting of a garden is not possible with this Planting Scheme.
Obligations, such as landscaping, or compensation (under the Omgevingswet) are excluded from participation in the Planting Scheme. The planting of food forests also does not fit within this planting scheme. A maximum of 25 sites can participate per planting season.
This Planting Scheme will be continued for the period 2025-2026
Cost
There is a maximum per plan for the cost of planting materials and tree stakes of € 1,350. The own contribution for participation in the Planting Scheme is € 400,-. In addition, the participant must plant and maintain the trees and shrubs themselves. The other costs (e.g. intake interview; drawing up the design and planting list; planting instruction and management instruction; purchase of planting material and tree stakes) are financed by the Municipality of Leudal.
Aftercare
All participants must attend a planting instruction meeting and also participate in a management instruction meeting. Plantings must be maintained for a minimum of 10 years.
