Municipality of Leudal helps do-it-yourselfers with insulation subsidy

Residents of Leudal with a poorly insulated owner-occupied home can take advantage of a new insulation subsidy starting in September 2025. This subsidy is specifically intended for do-it-yourselfers and is in line with the sustainable campaign Leudal Lééft 't. Under the scheme, residents can receive up to €2,500 in subsidy, plus an additional bonus of €500 if they use Biobased materials such as flax or wood fiber.

With this scheme we make insulation affordable and accessible. Especially for people who like to do it themselves. Choosing natural materials not only makes the home more sustainable, but also the living environment. With this scheme, we show once again that sustainability pays off and can be achieved together.

Who is the grant for?

The insulation subsidy is intended for owner-occupiers of houses (not apartments) in Leudal with a WOZ value of € 429,300 or lower. A condition is that at least two building parts are not properly insulated, such as roof, floor or windows. 

Bonus for Biobased materials

Insulating with organic materials is especially encouraged. Think of flax or wood fiber: sustainable choices that are good for the indoor climate and the environment. Anyone who carries out at least one measure with these types of materials will receive an additional € 500 on top of the regular subsidy.

Request

Applying for a grant can easily be done online. A paper form is available for the less digitally proficient resident. The grant can be applied for before the work begins, or when it has been completed after the scheme takes effect.

Please note that the grant is available while the budget lasts. So applying quickly is smart.
