Leudal Onderneemt

Leudal is economically vital and we want to keep it that way and strengthen it where possible!

Leudal Onderneemt shows where we are strong and where there are opportunities.

Yet there are also solid challenges for the future. For example, there is a substantial labor commute to surrounding municipalities and beyond. And the declining potential labor force is of great concern. Through 2025, 3,800 people will retire out of a total labor force of 17,000. A declining labor force also means a decline in economic vitality and thus a decline in the attractiveness to live, work and recreate in the municipality.

This requires solutions. We cannot do this alone; it requires the efforts of many different parties. Education, business and municipality therefore all contribute to the economic development of Leudal. Our joint ambition is to grow through innovation and sustainable enterprise. Therefore, we will strengthen our cooperation and now take a follow-up step by drawing up an economic agenda for Leudal. This process will be supervised by a so-called 'Economic Board', composed of representatives from the business community, education and the municipality.

With the economic profile and the actions we will take together into the future, we hope to strengthen Leudal's economy and make it more sustainable.
