Report a found pet?

Do you find a stray pet that needs help? If so, please contact Dierenambulance Midden-Limburg at (0495) 794 549. This number can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

A staff member assesses whether the animal will be picked up during a telephone intake. If the animal cannot be directly traced back to an owner, it is taken to an animal shelter where it receives the necessary (medical) Health .

Report an injured wildlife animal?

Have you found an injured natural animal? If so, please contact Animal Ambulance Midden-Limburg immediately at (0495) 794 549.

Reporting possible neglect or abuse

Do you think an animal is being mistreated or neglected? Then contact the national hotline 144.

When doing so, keep the following information handy:

  • Which animal(s) are involved;
  • The exact location;
  • What's going on;
  • Any photographic or video material.
     

Feral stray cats

Feral stray cats (also called street cats) live outside, have no owner and are often not social to people. They may be feral domestic cats or cats born in the wild.

They are not a problem on their own, but they can become one.

Is your pet missing? Increase the chances of reunification by informing as many people as possible.

Deceased animals

Your deceased pet should not go in the trash. Not even if it is very small. You can do a number of things with your deceased pet: Burial or cremation.

  • The animal ambulance can arrange transportation of your animal to, for example, a veterinarian or crematorium. When contacting them, please ask about the costs. The phone number of the animal ambulance is (0495) 794 549.
  • Burial in own garden or on own property. The grave must then be at least 75 centimeters deep. You may not wrap the dead animal in plastic or other substances harmful to the soil.
