Solar
Besides solar panels, there are more applications for converting sunlight and heat into renewable energy in the home. Solar water heaters, for example. You can also simply make smart use of sunlight during the (re)construction of your home.
In the Netherlands, the sun shines enough to run solar water heaters and solar panels. Solar energy is infinitely available. Using solar energy also releases hardly any environmentally harmful substances, such as CO2. Therefore, solar energy is sustainable. Generating power with sunlight is done with blue solar panels on the roof. Heating tap water with solar heat, is done with a solar water heater and black solar collectors on the roof. A solar water heater combo heats your home in addition to tap water.
In Leudal there are already many solar panels on roofs houses, schools, companies, community buildings, etc. This makes Leudal the 3rd municipality in Limburg when it comes to generating solar energy. There are also plans for large and smaller solar parks. Here the solar panels are not on roofs but on the ground.
For more information on solar panels, solar water heaters, subsidies and loans and to see if your building is suitable for solar energy: check the solar map of Limburg.
The municipality does not provide subsidies for solar energy generation solutions such as solar panels and solar water heaters.
