Michel Graef, Alderman for Alderman Affairs, recently visited Brentjens Bouwproducten in Haelen, accompanied by account manager Michiel Boers.

During the working visit, he was introduced to the family-owned business, which has been a trusted supplier of building materials to professionals in Limburg and Brabant for many years. Brentjens offers a wide range of products, from structural materials, lumber, and sheet materials to insulation, tools, and sustainable building solutions. In doing so, the company is responding to changing demand in the construction sector and the growing focus on future-proof construction.

During the presentation and tour, discussions focused on the growing demand for biobased and circular building materials and the opportunities this trend offers. Attention was also given to the challenges entrepreneurs face and to collaboration between the government and the private sector.

It’s wonderful to see the passion and dedication with which people here are working on sustainable solutions for the construction industry. Brentjens Bouwproducten is a great example of a family-owned business that continues to innovate and adapt to market developments. As a municipality, we believe it’s important to stay in dialogue with business owners so that we know what’s going on and can work together to identify opportunities.

Through working visits like these, the municipality of Leudal remains closely engaged with local businesses. By meeting regularly and exchanging experiences, we gain a better understanding of current issues and how the municipality and the business community can work together to build a strong and future-proof Leudal.
