Going back to work
What is it?
The municipality and the UWV can help you find work. They can also offer you other help that will increase your chances of getting a job.
How does it work?
Reintegration
To get an income, you must work. Are you unable to find a job? Are there no other possibilities to get an income? The municipality will help you look for work. Is this not successful? Then you can apply for a Social assistance benefit . This is stated in the Participation Act.
If you receive benefits, the goal is to get you back to work. This is called reintegration. A benefit is meant as temporary support. The employer service points in Roermond and Weert and the Mensontwikkelbedrijf of the municipality of Leudal offer help and support during reintegration, so that you can start earning your own income as soon as possible.
You must cooperate in your reintegration and keep appointments to get paid work again as soon as possible. These are your reintegration obligations. For example, the municipality may ask you to maintain existing skills or to learn new skills. Or to start working with benefits. Are you not fulfilling this duty? Then the municipality may reduce your Social assistance benefit .

If you are someone looking for work who is not entitled to benefits, you can contact the client director of Participation who can advise you on finding a job.
