Early detection of debt
There may be times when you are unable to pay a bill on time. You are then in arrears. Late payment is often a sign of money problems.
Money problems create stress. Debts make life more difficult in many ways. That is why the municipality of Leudal offers a helping hand to all residents with money worries. This help is completely free of charge. The earlier you get help, the easier problems can be solved. We call this early detection of debts.
Dutch law states that municipalities must offer early help to residents with payment arrears. Therefore, the municipality of Leudal works together with WML, health insurers, energy companies and housing corporations. If someone does not pay the bills of these organizations, the municipality is notified.
Free help with one or more reports of late payment
If a late payment is reported at your address, we will contact you. You will then receive a letter, card, text message, phone call or email from us. We will then offer you free help to solve your money problems.
Are there more reports of arrears at your address? Then we will pass this on to Algemeen Maatschappelijk Werk (AMW) Midden-Limburg. They will visit you to help you. You will receive a letter about this in advance. This help is also free of charge.
