Object placement near high voltage lines
What is it?
The municipality can stipulate that you may not place objects or other objects near a high-voltage line. It will specify a distance within which this is not allowed. The object may not be higher than 2 meters.
What to do.
You check the environment plan to see if you can place objects near high voltage lines.
You can see this via Ruimtelijkeplannen.nl.
If nothing is listed, report your plans to the municipality through the environment desk.
In doing so, please provide the following information:
- where you will place the object
- how big the object is
- why you want to place it
- When you want to place the object and for how long
How long does it take?
You will receive notification from us within 8 weeks. The municipality can extend this period by 6 weeks. Sometimes we need advice and permission from another organization (competent authority). Then an additional 4 weeks will be added.

Do you disagree with the municipality's decision?
Then file an objection within 6 weeks.
