Object, found or lost
Have you lost or found something in the municipality of Leudal?
We use iLost to register found objects. Through iLost you can quickly check if your lost item has been found, or you can register the item you found yourself.
What to do.
I lost something
- Check iLost to see if the item you lost has been found and is kept at the municipality.
- Have you found your item on iLost?
Then you can claim your object on iLost by clicking on ''Claim object''. If you make an appointment via iLost, you can pick up the object at the municipality of Leudal. Don't forget to bring a valid ID. - If you have not found your object,
Search further within iLost by clicking on "search in all objects". You can then also see if someone else has found something in the municipality of Leudal and has registered it themselves and keeps it at home. You can also search other places or other organizations connected to the iLost platform. - Did you still find your item on iLost?
Then respond to iLost to make an appointment with the finder to pick up the item.
I found something
- Register the object on iLost.
- The owner can then report through iLost to make an appointment with you to pick up the item.
- Has the owner not come forward within one year of registration? Then you are the new owner of the object.
- You may also choose to bring the item to City Hall. We will then register the object, keep it and return it to the owner. You cannot then become the owner of the found object after one year. We usually register the found object on iLost within three working days.
Additional information
- Many found objects, such as eyeglasses, clothing, umbrellas and keys without specific characteristics are usually not registered. However, these items are kept by the municipality. You can call (0475) 85 90 00 to find out if we keep your item.
- Passport/identity card/driving license:
- Apply after missing: Make an appointment for this at . You do not have to file a police report to apply for a new document. You fill out a declaration of loss at the counter and you can immediately apply for a new passport/identity card/driving license.
- Found? You may not keep this yourself. Bring it to the town hall.
- Loose passes: take them to the appropriate agency. Often the address is on the pass.
- Weapons or explosives: contact the police immediately.
- Lost or found on public transportation: contact the carrier.
- Lost or found in public places: contact the manager.
- Robbed? Report it to the police: at the police station or online.
