Nursing home or home care, indication
What is it?
Usually your family or a home care agency can help you with your housework and personal care. If that is not possible, you may be able to get a place in a nursing home. For this, you need an indication. An indication is a decision that states what Health you need and whether you will get it. You get this indication from the Centrum Indicatiestelling Health (CIZ).
What to do.
At the CIZ you can see if you should have an indication for the Health you need. You can apply for the indication yourself. But you can also have the application done by a professional care provider. For example, a home care agency or the family doctor. In case of emergency, a doctor always makes the application.
What do I need?
- identity documents of you and your partner, if any
- citizen service numbers of you and your partner, if any
- proof of your income and that of your partner
How long does it take?
You will be notified within 6 weeks whether you will receive the indication.
