Follow-up on bat research (midnight swarms)
In week 32 and week 34, ecologists will spend one day during each of these weeks searching for midnight bat swarms.

The bats swarm through the air in large groups, searching for a large roost to hibernate in. There can sometimes be more than 100 bats. The ecologists visit buildings constructed in 1980 or earlier that are 15 meters or taller and have an energy efficiency rating of D or lower. They monitor the buildings between 11:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m.
