Why a special preschool program?

The preschool program ensures a smooth transition to elementary school. If your child participates, he or she will make a good start in group 1. Of course, it is also fun to play with other children. Children with whom your child might later join the class.  

VVE

Your child may receive a VVE indication. This will be discussed with you by the doctor or nurse at the child health clinic. VVE means that your child will receive extra (language) guidance and more time to learn through play. 

How does it work?

In the toddler group there is always a different theme. Think of themes such as 'on vacation' or 'eat well'. The children play games, sing songs and make things that fit the theme. In this way the children discover all kinds of things about themselves and the world around them. Unnoticed, each theme pays attention to language, math, motor skills and social-emotional development. The pedagogical staff (leaders) follow the development of your child and discuss it with you. They also regularly consult with your child's future elementary school.

What to expect.

• Expert guidance for your child
  The expert staff help your child discover the world through play. This is done through fun themes. Within each theme, your child will enjoy playing, learning and moving together with other children. The pedagogical staff provide a safe and trusted environment in which your child can develop broadly.
   
• Cooperation with you as a parent
  The pedagogical staff guide - together with you - your child's development towards independence. They give you fun tips and clear information about what you can do at home with your child. After all, it is both fun and good for children if parents participate in the themes at home.
   
• Cooperation with the elementary school
  At the end of the toddler program, the pedagogical staff discusses your child's development with the elementary school. Of course, only if you give permission. A good transfer ensures a good connection in group 1. In this way, your child's guidance continues nicely.

What does the preschool program cost?

The cost of the preschool program depends on your personal situation. Check below to see what applies to you.

Parents who both work or single parents 

For the cost of the preschool program, you can apply for child care subsidies. This is done through the tax authorities. Parents who follow a mandatory school or work program from the municipality also receive childcare allowance. You can make a trial calculation at www.toeslagen.nl. 

If one or both parents are NOT working 

for two half-days per week (preschool program) and for up to 16 hours per week for four half-days per week (VVE). In both cases for 40 weeks per year.

You pay a co-payment of about 15% for two half-days.

For 4 half-day sessions (VVE indication) a co-payment of approximately 5%. The amount of the own contribution can differ per child center. The remaining costs are paid by the municipality of Leudal.

Minimum income or debt

Do you have problems paying your own contribution? For example, due to a minimum income or debts? Then contact the municipality(0475 - 85 90 00). There you can discuss what possibilities there are for reimbursement of the own contribution.
