Anyone can get into debt. They can significantly change your daily life. Often it is difficult to solve debts yourself. That is why the municipality of Leudal is happy to offer you help. This help is completely free! Schuldhulporganisatie Verder provides debt assistance in the municipality of Leudal.
How it works
After you have applied for debt assistance, a debt counselor will contact you. The debt counselor will ask you some questions to assess whether debt assistance may be a solution for you.
Further, they will look at the cause of your financial problems, your income, expenses and debts. This will be used to determine the amount you can pay off your debts each month. Then your debt relief worker will make arrangements with creditors to pay the debt. Are you unable to repay the debts? Or do your creditors want more money than you can pay? Then the court can be asked for help.

You can also register through Verder's web portal. After registration, the Verder staff member will contact you.
How long does it take?
After registration, you can have an initial interview within 2 weeks. In urgent cases you can have an interview within 3 working days. This is the case if, for example, an eviction is imminent or if you are threatened with disconnection of gas, electricity or water.
A debt settlement program takes about 18 months.
