Sandwich and triangle signs
What is it?
Under Requirements you may place sandwich and or triangle signs in the municipality of Leudal. In doing so, you must comply with the General Ordinance (Av) and the further rules based on it. This means, among other things, that it is prohibited to use the road other than in accordance with its public function, if:
- the use causes or is likely to cause damage to the road, obstructs or is likely to obstruct the usability of the road, or is or is likely to obstruct the management or maintenance of the road; or
- the use does not conform to reasonable standards of appearance.
The placement of sandwich and/or triangle signs does not require public law permission from the municipality. Please note, however, private permission from the municipality may be required. However, you must comply with the Av and applicable further rules.
What does it cost?
There is no charge for placing sandwich and triangle signs.
How does it work?
To be allowed to place a sandwich or triangle sign, you must meet the following requirements;
- dimensions are a maximum of 1.50 meters x 1.00 meters;
- with the sign advertising:
- an event referred to in Article 2.5.2.1 Av;
- educational institutions or activities (such as open days);
- a general social interest (for example, a national or local collection agency, the local charity week, the action "We are going back to school" or "The schools are starting again"), or
- artistic events, cultural and artistic activities (for example, for the purpose of the Open Gate Day);
- should be clear who is responsible for the placement and collection of sandwich and/or triangle signs;
- The date of the placement of sandwich and/or triangle signs must appear on them;
- a maximum of two sandwich and/or triangular signs may be placed in each core of the municipality of Leudal per event or otherwise;
- sandwich and/or triangle signs (including the frame) may be placed for a maximum of three weeks;
- on overheid.nl (search term: implementation rules General Regulation Leudal) lists the streets where sandwich and/or triangle signs may be placed in the various cores. Only around the specific light poles designated by number in the street list may sandwich and/or triangle signs be placed;
- A maximum of one sandwich and/or triangle sign may be placed around a light pole referred to in item 7.
- no hazard or nuisance shall be caused when placing the sandwich and/or triangle signs if not permitted by these rules;
- sandwich and/or triangle signs may be placed on private property;
- the date of the event on the sandwich and/or triangular signs must not be changed so as to exceed the maximum posting period of three weeks, and
- sandwich and/or triangle signs shall not interfere with the efficient maintenance of the public realm or street furniture.
What to do.
If you comply with the set rules, then you may place sandwich and/or triangle signs. You will then not need a permit or waiver.
Thus, commercial advertising is not allowed for sandwich and/or triangle signs and for banners.
Additional information
The person responsible for the placement and collection of the sandwich and/or triangle signs shall be and remain liable for any damage caused to municipality property or third parties.
At the expense of the person responsible for the placement and collection of the sandwich and/or triangle signs, the sandwich and/or triangle signs may be removed at any time if they have been placed in violation of the applicable rules.
