City Council composition

The municipal council is the highest administrative body of a municipality. Every four years, the municipal council is elected by residents. The last municipal elections were held on March 14, 15, and 16, 2022. The number of municipal council members depends on the population. In Leudal, the municipal council consists of 25 council members, currently divided into six political factions. Mayor Désirée Schmalschläger is chair of the municipal council. Council Member Peeters-Severin is acting chair of the council.

The City Council meets approximately every 5 weeks in the Council Chamber of the City Hall. Meetings generally take place on a Tuesday and normally begin at 7:30 p.m. They are open to the public and are broadcast live on local TV by broadcaster ML5.
