Court of Auditors

What does the court of auditors do?
The Court of Audit Leudal investigates whether the municipal government spends money well and whether policies work. In this way, the Court of Audit Leudal aims to make a positive contribution to the functioning of the administration in Leudal and to strengthening the framework-setting and controlling task of the municipal council in particular. The basis for the Court's work is laid down in the Municipal Law and in the Municipal Court Regulation.

Learning and improving
The Court achieves its goal by conducting and reporting on investigations. The starting point here is learning and improving. Thus, with its investigations, the Court of Auditors not only shows what is going wrong, but also provides recommendations on how to improve. It addresses its conclusions and recommendations to the City Council, which can adopt the reports' recommendations and instruct the Municipal Executive to implement them.
The Court is independent
This means that it decides which investigations it will conduct and how it will approach the investigations. It is not commissioned to do so by the council. The city council can ask the Court to investigate, but it is not obliged to comply with the request. If the Court does not comply with the request, it will give reasons.
The Court of Audit meets in private. Agendas and reports are not public. Therefore, you cannot find them here.
Research Plan
Starting in 2014, the Court works with a 6-year program plan for investigations. In 2019, the members of the Court were reappointed for the years 2020-2026. A new program plan was therefore created for the next six years. This program plan can be found on the Court Publications page. Or download the file'Plan of activities of the Court of Auditors Leudal 2020 - 2026' directly.
The Court's other publications, reports and audit letters, can also be found on the relevant page.
