2025

  • Visit delegation municipality of Leudal to municipality of Pogorzela (Poland) from March 19 to 22, 2025. The delegation of the municipality of Leudal consisted of Mr. Van Helden and Mr. Houben (aldermen) and members of the Foundation Citizens' Committee Leudal-Pogorzela. 

    Reason for visit: getting to know the new mayor of Pogorzela, Mrs. D. Wyzuj. 

    Purpose of visit: getting to know and meet aldermen Van Helden and Houben, committee members, (local) entrepreneurs, newly elected city council members and residents of Pogorzela as well as gaining knowledge of local developments in the areas of environment, agriculture, culture and business climate. To this end, visits included dairy farms in Głuchów, Paradów and Elżbietków, a carpentry company in Elżbietków, the 'Mondi Simet' cardboard factory in Piaski, the 'Bolsius' candle factory in Zalesie Małe and a sewage treatment plant in Głuchów. A visit was also made to the 'Brothers of the Cock' marksmen association in Pogorzela. During this visit an official invitation was handed over to be present with a delegation during the OLS in Heythuysen which will take place in July 2025.

2022

  • Visit delegation municipality of Leudal to the municipality of Porgorzela (Poland) from November 3 to 6, 2022. Participants from the Dutch side: Mrs. D. Schmalschläger (Mayor of Leudal), Mr. P. Verlinden (former Alderman Municipality of Leudal), representatives of the Foundation Citizen Committee Leudal-Porgorzela and the Foundation BIZ Ittervoort.

    Reason for visit: acquaintance of Mayor Schmalschläger with Mayor P. Curyk of the Municipality of Porgorzela.

    Purpose of visit: acquaintance of and with mayors, citizens' committee members, entrepreneurs and inhabitants of Porgorzela in the field of Health, education, culture and business climate. To this end, visits included several educational institutions (pre-school, primary and vocational), a health center, a sewage treatment plant and groundwater pumping station, a community facility, a library and culture house, and a Christmas ball factory.

    Cost: €2,220.96 (for full delegation).
