QRMS from Neer OOM Award for most active training company

'Most important thing is that our people can continue to develop'

CNC machining company QRMS from Neer won the OOM Award 2025 for the Limburg region. In the election for the most active (metal) training companies in the Netherlands, the company beat the other nominees, Vahsen Constructies from Sittard and Marcelissen from Venlo.

In the workplace, the commitment and enthusiasm is readily apparent and contagious. With an open culture, lots of personal attention, cooperation, training and development and regular fun on the shop floor. Co-owner Twan Wulms himself gives weekly practical courses on the machines. And new employees first spend six months in practice. This way it becomes clear where their training or development needs lie. Together with the employee, QRMS then draws up development plans.

 Thus the jury report.

For QRMS it is important that we always keep up with the latest techniques," says co-owner Twan Wulms. "But perhaps the most important thing is that our people can continue to develop themselves, so that they can find their own way and do what they like. I'm a practical trainer myself and I really like going back to the basics of the trade. To explain what the machine does, how metal behaves and how that machine feels during machining. If you understand that, then you become the craftsman or craftswoman we need.

Congratulation

On behalf of the college of B&W and the Entrepreneurial team , Leon Joris and Michiel Boers, both account managers within the municipality, conveyed congratulations to QRMS and handed over 2 delicious flans to the owners Ruth and Twan.
