Project N273 Come Neer
The provincial road N273 (Napoleonsweg) within the built-up area of Neer in need of major maintenance. In addition, the drainage system no longer functions properly during heavy rainfall, causing flooding in several locations. Furthermore, the cycle paths, carriageway, and intersections are outdated, and the facilities for pedestrians and parking are unclear.
We are going to work on the road
The Province of Limburg and the Municipality of Leudal are improving road safety by carrying out three main activities. We will renew the asphalt, improve the road layout and solve drainage problems at several locations. We do this on the basis of policy frameworks of the province and points of attention and preconditions of the municipality of Leudal.
We do not start work immediately
Before we want and can work on the road, we first look at what we need to make. Then we look at how to make it and prepare a tender. Then we commission a contractor and we can do the project.
In the coming period, among other things, we will make a sketch and preliminary design, conduct surveys of such things as plants and animals, water and paving, hold discussions with utility companies and prepare procedures. We are also talking to the surrounding area. We will discuss the project, the process and the desired result, and would like to hear experiences with the planned activities within the project.
