Reception (Wmo)
What is it?
You may have left your home situation due to domestic violence and are therefore seeking shelter. Domestic violence involves violence by family members, relatives, partners or caregivers. You may also have left home for another reason.
The municipality can help you when you need shelter. Shelter and guidance is provided to people who have left their home situation and cannot manage on their own in society. The aim is for you to be able to manage in society again as soon as possible. You will be helped with this.
What does it cost?
There is no charge for submitting a Wmo notification form.
How does it work?
What support the municipality provides depends on what is the best solution for you. Together with the municipality, the first step is to see what solutions are possible together with people from your own environment. These may be family, friends or acquaintances but also your neighbors. We call this using your 'own strength'.
Various types
Does this not work or not enough? Then the municipality can arrange support in consultation with you. This support comes in 2 varieties:
- In-kind support
- A personal budget
With in-kind support, care is provided by a provider with whom the municipality has entered into a contract. In the case of a personal budget, you receive an amount with which you must purchase the necessary assistance yourself.
If you cannot properly justify why a personal budget would be more appropriate for you than in-kind care, the primacy of a collective (customized) provision applies. If you think you are eligible for a personal budget, you will have to motivate this well. If you cannot, you will receive in-kind support.
For care, you pay a co-payment. How much you have to pay depends on the amount of support, your income and assets.
What to do.
I need help
To determine what kind of help is best for you, contact the municipality. This is called making a "notification" of your (help) request. You can do this easily using the notification form below.
I filed a report. How to proceed now?
If necessary, a customer director of Wmo from the municipality will contact you to make an appointment for a personal interview. This can be at a location of your preference. You can always bring someone along, for example a family member or a professional social worker or client supporter, to the meeting with the client director. You can request free client support from Algemeen Maatschappelijk Werk Leudal (tel.: 088 - 656 06 00). During the conversation, we look at your question and what support is appropriate. But also what you can do yourself or with the help of your family or surroundings. Together we look for a tailor-made solution. For more information, go to the kitchen table consultation.
How long does it take?
When you report for shelter, the municipality is allowed 8 weeks to process your report, interview and grant the facility. In practice, this may also be shorter.
It may take longer if, for example, outside consultants need to be consulted (e.g., medical advice) or if you yourself fail to provide certain information in time.
