Organizing a parade
What is it?
If you want to organize a procession on the road for, for example, carnival activities, a procession, or king's shooting, you need a parade permit to use traffic controllers. You may not organize a parade and cordon off road sections without certified traffic controllers. You are not insured.
How does it work?
Would you like Health apply for a parade permit? Health you have DigiD (for individuals) or eHerkenning (for foundations, companies, or associations) in time.

The electronic parade permit application form includes a built-in checklist. After answering a few simple questions, you will immediately know whether a parade permit is required for your activity. If necessary, you can submit your application online immediately after completing the checklist.
What does it cost?
A parade permit is free.
What to do
In addition to applying for a permit from the municipality, you must create an event on the website of Stichting Verkeersregelaars Nederland. If you fail to do so, traffic controllers are not insured.
For the purpose of the parade permit, a simple traffic plan/good drawing with traffic signs and the location of traffic controllers is required. For this you can use a digital Map. This can be found at Open street map.
The traffic drawing must include the following:
- Date and times of parade;
- Name core;
- Street names;
- Traffic signs, View the Traffic Rules and Signs Regulations.
- Detour route if needed;
- Deployment of traffic controllers, where they will stand
