Adjust opening hours of catering industry once
What is it?
If you are organizing a party or event at your catering establishment (not including a party tent), you may want to adjust the opening hours for that occasion. In that case, you will need to apply for a permit from the municipality to stay open longer.
To extend the closing time, you must take the following rules into account:
- The extension of the closing time can be requested for Friday evening (the night from Friday to Saturday) or Saturday evening (the night from Saturday to Sunday) until 3:00 a.m. at the latest.
- An extension of the closing time may be requested on the night following Easter Sunday and Easter Monday; King's Night and King's Day; Liberation Day; Ascension Day; Whit Sunday and Whit Monday; Christmas Day and Boxing Day, until 3:00 a.m. at the latest.
- After 2:00 a.m., the license holder may not admit any new visitors to the hospitality establishment. The license holder is responsible for this.
- The mayor may revoke or restrict the permit for closing hours at any time.
- The mayor may deviate from the above rules for special reasons.
