Leudal Entrepreneurs' Night Brings Together 150 Entrepreneurs and Partners

A packed house, an open discussion about the future of entrepreneurship in Leudal, and inspiring insights into leadership. The third edition of Entrepreneurs’ Night, held on Tuesday, October 13, at Café-Zaal Geraats in Grathem, was a successful event. About 150 entrepreneurs and partners came together to exchange experiences, share ideas, and look ahead.

A Discussion on the Future of Entrepreneurship

How do we keep Leudal attractive to entrepreneurs? What’s going well, what could be improved, and what’s needed to remain strong and future-proof? These questions were the focus of the panel discussion moderated by Luuk Venner.

Alderman Michel Graef, an economist, discussed this topic with Rob Huijten (BASF), Mathijs Joosten (Boscafé de Busjop), Mark Vossen (Vossen Group), and Martijn van Helvert (MKB-Limburg). It was an open conversation that allowed for different perspectives, personal input, and discussion. Important topics were discussed and concerns were raised, but potential solutions were also proposed. It is precisely this combination that is valuable: identifying the issues together and then exploring what we can do about them.

The municipality therefore looks back on the meeting with a sense of satisfaction. The large turnout was wonderful to see, but what stood out most was the commitment and the shared energy. After all, we build a strong business climate together: entrepreneurs, the municipality, and partners.

Leadership When It Matters Most

After the break, it was Wouter Bruins and Marc Smeets’ turn from Ruygh Academy. Drawing on their experiences in the Ministry of Defense, they took the audience on a journey into the world of leadership, ownership, and mental resilience.
What happens when the pressure mounts? How do you, as a leader, stay true to yourself, maintain a clear overview, and get a team moving? Drawing on their own experiences, the speakers demonstrated what leadership requires in practice.

It turned out to be an interactive session that encouraged the attendees to look at themselves and their roles as entrepreneurs or leaders in a different light. Sometimes, the power lies precisely in something simple: pausing for a moment, closing your eyes, and consciously experiencing what’s happening.

Moving Forward Together

The third Entrepreneurs’ Evening once again demonstrated how valuable it is to bring entrepreneurs and partners together. Meeting one another, sharing experiences, and even discussing topics on which we don’t always see eye to eye right away—it’s all part of building Leudal’s future together.

The municipality would like to thank all attendees and the speakers for their contributions to this successful evening.
