The Energy Emergency Fund Will Reopen This Winter
The government plans to reopen the Energy Emergency Fund this winter. That's good news. Low-income households with high energy bills will then be able to receive assistance again.

The Emergency Fund pays part of the energy bill for people who are eligible for assistance. We do not yet know exactly when the Emergency Fund will be able to open this winter. We are currently in discussions with the government about this. Once it opens, the Emergency Fund will remain open for at least four months. This will give people enough time to submit an application.
Anyone who submits an application soon and meets the Requirements requirements will receive assistance. There is enough funding for everyone who is eligible for support.
The Emergency Fund considers the household's income and energy bill. Is the energy bill too high relative to your income? If so, the Emergency Fund will cover part of the costs. It doesn't matter which energy provider you use.
