Child care control
What is it?
It is important that a child care center, host parent location or preschool is of good quality. Therefore, if you have a child care organization, your location is inspected every year by an inspector from the Municipal Health Service (GGD).
How does it work?
The GGD inspector visits unannounced and checks that:
- your educational policy plan is adhered to in practice
- there are enough staff members present for the number of children in the daycare present for the number of children in the daycare
- the groups are not too large
- Every employee has a certificate of good conduct (VOG)
- every employee has the appropriate certifications
- there is a safe and healthy shelter location
The inspector also asks questions of the parents' committee. The GGD prepares a report of the inspection.
For parents
In the Landelijk Register Kinderopvang (LRK) you will find details of all childcare organizations that meet the legal requirements at the start. Here you will also find the registration number of each organization. You may need this number if you apply for childcare allowance. On the LRK website you can also download the GGD reports.
What to do
You must post the child care supervisor's inspection report on your website. If you do not have a website, you must make the report available for inspection in a place accessible to parents and staff.
What does it cost?
