Would you like to transfer your business to the next generation or to one of the employees or sell it to a third party, but don't know how to go about it? Are you waiting for the right time? Are you waiting for your children? Who will take the first step? How do you ensure that you can continue to enjoy a carefree old age after the transfer or sale? Are you well prepared for this final step? Good preparation is half the battle!
MKB-Limburg and the Province of Limburg, in cooperation with the Municipality of Leudal, are organizing a workshop cycle in which all aspects of the complex and emotional process of transfer or sale are discussed. Through three sessions you will go through the essential steps towards a successful transfer together with experts from the field.
How?
During the first meeting, the wishes and expectations plus the various options are Map out in order to subsequently draw up a personal plan of action or exit strategy. Attention is also paid to the emotions involved in this process: transferring, trusting, letting go and taking distance.
In the second session, we zoom in on getting the business ready for sale or transfer and get into the negotiation game. Issues such as working capital analysis, business valuation and terms of sale will be covered.
Finally, the financial and tax aspects of the transfer or sale are discussed. What should you do and don't you do beforehand to optimize the transaction fiscally? How do you ensure a financially healthy business for the successors and a financially healthy life for yourself?

What do we expect from you?
That you reserve three half-days in your calendar to actively attend the workshops with one or two people and a financial contribution of €300.
Information meeting
However, we will start with an information meeting where we will explain the above in more detail and discuss the workshops in more detail. This meeting will take place on Friday, October 10 from 09.00-11.00 hours (location to be determined; you will be notified after registration) and is free of charge. Registration is necessary.
During this meeting, we will also have Leudal entrepreneurs who have gone through the same process. They will share experiences and answer questions from those present. Afterwards, the registration procedure for the 3 workshops, which will take place from October to December 2025, will start for those interested.
