Help and advice

You may want information or advice and support with questions about Health and Health . Sometimes people close to you can provide that, but there are also professionals who can help you. These professionals are called client supporters. You can ask for help in many areas, including education, youth services, work, income, Health, housing and welfare.

The client support worker helps you solve your problems and/or arrange for help. The goal is for you to be able to continue on your own afterwards. Client support is free of charge.

Help and advice

The client support worker can help you decide for yourself about your help or Health. He or she provides information and advice and arranges practical matters. With the municipality and with other agencies.
The client supporter stands up for your interests. So that you get the help you need. The client supporter can help with:

  • figuring out where the problems are;
  • advice on the Health or support needed;
  • arrange the right help;
  • Matching different types of assistance;
  • determine whether the help has worked well.

Independent

A client support worker works independently. So independent from the municipality, the care office or care providers. Your interests come first.

Client support in care application

The municipality ensures that client support is available to anyone seeking Health or assistance. For example, when applying for:

  • support from the Long-Term Health Act (Wlz)
  • youth aid
  • support from the Social Support Act (Wmo)
  • assistance in applying for debt assistance
  • A benefit, for example welfare or Wajong

You can also get client support when you do not apply to the municipality, but to another authority. The client support worker can also help you with the kitchen table discussion.
