The MOB works for Spar Synco in Baexem
The Human Development Company (MOB) and the Municipality of Leudal are working closely with Spar Synco in Baexem. A cooperation that is not only about groceries, but mainly about opportunities. Spar owner Synco is actively committed to offering a place to people with a distance to the labor market. This gives them the opportunity to gain work experience and grow into a paid job.

The stories show that this works. Several young people who entered through the MOB were given the opportunity at Synco to improve their Dutch and gain experience in the store.
Tom's story
A great example is Tom. Two years ago, he was in his final year of special education and was looking for an internship. His wish: to work in an orderly store, with clear tasks and on-the-job supervision. He found that place at Spar Synco.
The internship went well and Tom got a job! He prefers to help unpack freight and fill shelves. These are clear and orderly tasks for him, which he can do independently. Dating products is his specialty: he sees immediately when something is wrong.
Customized guidance
On the shop floor, Tom receives guidance from Synco and his colleagues. They followed the "Harrie training," a method that stands for helpful, alert, realistic, calm, instructive and honest. This enables them to guide Tom and other employees with additional support needs optimally.
When new goals are set or there are specific questions, the MOB's job coaches step in. Thus, all parties together ensure a sustainable place for Tom within the team. This cooperation has ensured that Tom has now been working at the Spar for over 2 years.
Inspiration for other entrepreneurs
The success story at Spar Synco does not go unnoticed. During a business evening, organized by Account Manager Development Michiel Boers of the Municipality of Leudal, Synco enthusiastically shared its experiences with the Harrie training.
Therefore, we will soon organize a special information evening to further explain the possibilities of this training. Here again, the MOB plays an important role.
Working together for the future
The MensOntwikkelBedrijf guides vulnerable residents and benefit recipients to suitable work. This is done in cooperation with local companies and organizations. Because in Leudal, everyone should be able to participate. The MOB is located at Graaf van Loonlaan 2a in Heythuysen.
