The MOB works to make Leudal a beautiful place
The MOB and the Leudal municipality’s field staff are working together to create a great combination of hands-on learning and contributing to their own municipality.
Collaboration with the Field Sales Team
The field service plays a key role in maintaining green spaces and public areas in Leudal. At the same time, the MOB aims to provide participants with a realistic learning and working environment where they can gain experience and develop new skills. This collaboration arose from these two goals.
Field service tasks that are suitable for providing learning and work experience are submitted to the MOB. Foreman Hans then works with the participants to determine the best way to approach the job. In doing so, they consider what the participants can learn, what guidance is needed, and, of course, whether the work can be performed safely.
Learning from Experienced Colleagues
Our field staff play an important role in this. They mentor the participants, teach them the proper techniques, and provide materials and support as needed. In this way, participants gain work experience in a real-world setting while also contributing to the tasks required for routine maintenance within our municipality.
From traffic signs to public parks
For example, participants in the MOB program have started cleaning dirty traffic signs. Several participants also assist the field staff with the maintenance of public parks.
These are activities that not only keep them busy with practical work but also teach them to work together, take responsibility, and develop new skills.
Working Together, Growing Together
This partnership benefits both sides. The field staff receive support in their work, and the MOB participants get the opportunity to learn on the job and further develop their skills. The knowledge, skills, and work experience they gain through this program will help them start their careers with an employer well-prepared in the future.
And perhaps best of all: what our participants learn at the MOB is immediately evident in our own municipality. In this way, we work together to help people grow and to build a beautiful Leudal.
