Looking for Cyber Agents for the game HackShield
HackShield is an online game for children between 8 and 12 years old. Children learn about "Internet dangers" while playing and become resilient against cybercrime.
Children can share the knowledge they have learned from HackShield with those around them. For example, parents, family and other friends. In this way, they become real Cyber agents protecting their own environment from cybercrime.
When playing the game, do not forget to enter a valid email address of the child's parents/guardian. In addition, in the game choose municipality Leudal! This way the competition between the Leudal children can be started.

Why do kids want to play HackShield?
- HackShield (nonprofit) is completely free and a popular game. Through the App store or Google Play, the game can be downloaded. There are no "in-app purchases" hidden in the game. Thus, every player has the same chances and is equal.
- It is also good to know that the children basically cannot get game addiction from HackShield because after about 4 hours of play time, the levels of the game are finished.
- Children can compete with each other; the best players or cyber agents will be honored by the mayor of Leudal municipality in the spring of 2024.
- Last but not least; children can teach their parents, grandparents, grandmothers and others in their social circle how to protect themselves from cybercrime!

HackShield in the classroom
HackShield can also be played the in class. This module is free for all schools in the Netherlands to play on the IWB. The module consists of 8 modules (quests) with their own cyber safety theme: internet, data, online borders, disinformation, phishing, money mules, copyrights and photo sharing. Each quest can be played together with the class and takes about 30 to 45 minutes.
