Municipality of Leudal appreciates informal caregivers
This year, the municipality of Leudal is once again offering various ways to recognize informal caregivers. Leudal is collaborating with Steunpunt Mantelzorg ( Synthese) on this initiative. An informal caregiver provides long-term, intensive Health to a partner, family member, neighbor, or friend.
Making a difference
Informal caregivers provide unconditional care for a loved one. They make it possible for someone with a long-term illness or disability to continue living at home for as long as possible. We believe it is important that this dedication be recognized, because this form of Health is not something to be taken for granted, yet it makes a real difference in everyday life. Informal Health is becoming increasingly important.
Mantel Care Compliment
One of the ways the municipality shows its appreciation is by offering an informal care gift. This is a symbolic amount of €50 for residents who receive informal care. The gift can be requested in September by or on behalf of someone who receives Health . The bonus will be paid no later than December to the person receiving Health . That person then decides how to use the bonus to thank the informal caregiver(s).
Mantel care gift
In addition, the municipality of Leudal has the informal care gift. This is a gift that anyone can request for an informal carer. The gift is part of the Day of the Mantelzorg and is delivered with a personal message to the caregiver's home around November 10. The person receiving Health must live in the municipality of Leudal. An informal caregiver does not have to live in the municipality of Leudal.
