Day of the Entrepreneur: startups in the limelight!
Today, Nov. 21, 2025 Alderman Economy Jan den Teuling, together with account managers Perry van Doorn and Michiel Boers, visited 3 new entrepreneurs in our municipality.
- Carla Weekers from Kelpen-Oler is a specialist in lifestyle and hormone balance and helps people on their way to a healthier and happier life. Listening to your body is the first step. Or as her motto says: "Listen to your body when it whispers before it starts shouting."
- Helle Peeters from Haelen is engaged in interim management and consultancy in the physical and spatial domain. From her years of experience, she likes to help other entrepreneurs where she gets her inspiration from tackling current (complex) issues.
- Jeroen Knippenberg from Heythuysen is a specialist in handmade kitchen knives. For Jeroen, making knives is the ultimate combination of his love of cooking and food, his passion for creating with his own hands, and applying his technical knowledge and skills.
Day of the Entrepreneur
The Day of the Entrepreneur is an initiative of MKB-Nederland and especially to thank entrepreneurs for their courage and perseverance. An initiative that the Municipality of Leudal of course fully embraces and supports.

All three of these starters were mentored by Starterscentrum Limburg, which was created specifically to advise and support budding entrepreneurs in setting up their own business.
